BACKLANE / OTTO MARKET

Your OTTO data directly in your AI chat

Which variants are not online? Which orders need processing? Backlane connects your OTTO seller account to your AI chat. Ask about specific products and orders to get a verifiable basis for your next step.

Backlane is currently in open beta. During this limited period, all available features are completely free to use. Any costs for your AI assistant or marketplace accounts are separate.

Which questions can you answer?

01

Why is my OTTO product not online?

Check activation, marketplace status and reported errors for a specific variant. Identify missing information and which product data you should inspect next.

02

Which products are below my minimum stock level?

Compare the available quantities reported for OTTO with your own thresholds. Have low stock and missing records shown separately.

03

Which orders can I process now?

Find order items ready for processing and separate them from announced, shipped or cancelled items. Your checklist can include older open orders too.

04

Which OTTO Ads campaigns should I review?

Compare advertising costs, attributed revenue and ROAS over the same periods. Prioritise campaigns below your own target by advertising spend.

Which question can you try right away?

Which OTTO SKUs are below my stock threshold?

What you need
OTTO connection and minimum quantity
What you get
Reported quantities below the threshold, with data gaps listed separately.
Read all available OTTO quantities in [connection], following every results page. My minimum stock threshold is [quantity] units.
Show SKUs with quantity below this threshold, sorted by quantity ascending: sku, quantity, lastModified. Identify zero quantities separately.
State the source, retrieval time and completeness. An unknown SKU or missing value is not zero. lastModified is not the retrieval time and does not prove a synchronisation failure.
Describe these as reported OTTO quantities, not verified warehouse stock. Use read-only requests only.

Here is what a response using sample data can look like.

Example inputs
Connection: OTTO-Demo · Stock threshold: 5 units

Two SKUs are below 5 units: DEMO-A with zero and DEMO-B with two. DEMO-D has no quantity value.

Data sources: four SKUs, all results pages covered. DEMO-C reports exactly 5 units and is therefore not below the threshold.

Scroll the table sideways if needed.

Quantities below the threshold, with a separate data gap
SKUExample findingNext check
DEMO-A quantity = 0 Compare the zero quantity with the source system.
DEMO-B quantity = 2 Check whether replenishment is planned.
DEMO-D · data gap quantity missing Establish the quantity; do not count it as zero stock.

What this does not establish

These are reported OTTO quantities. They establish neither physical warehouse stock nor a synchronisation failure. Stock cover cannot be calculated without outbound quantity data.

Common questions

Do I need to code to connect OTTO?

For the queries described here, ask your question in natural language. Your OTTO account and AI client must first be connected to Backlane; the documentation walks through setup.

Can I start with read-only checks?

Yes. You can disable write access across your Backlane organisation and limit your requests to reading and checking data. Wording in a chat does not replace access permissions.

Why can I see product data but not orders?

The data areas have separate permissions. A successful product request does not confirm order access. Check the selected connection, its authorisations and any request errors.
